An affidavit is an official document in which the truth of the facts stated is solemnly declared under oath. This document is used to confirm facts, identify evidence or authenticate documents, and is of particular importance in court cases, financial transactions and administrative procedures.
This procedure aims to formally record the date a document was filed before a notary. The filing of the document is usually made in several copies, which are placed separately in a sealed envelope and sealed with a bull's-eye so that, in the event of a dispute, it can be proved that on the specific date the filer was the holder of the document in question by the body which will carry out the opening of the envelope.
These documents can only be taken over by the depositor or a third party indicated by the depositor.
