SUBJECT: "Activation of the application for the concealment of personal data of debtors by the EL.SY.PLEIS. (www.eauction.gr), in accordance with the legislation on the protection of personal data" 

 

Ladies and gentlemen,

implemented and implemented as of today (10.04.2025) the application of the suppression of personal data of debtors from the electronic auction platform (EL.SY.PLIS), when the reason for their appearance in the published auctions ceases to exist, in compliance with the legislation on the protection of personal data.

The concealment of these data concerns only the environment that visitors and users of EL.SY.PLEIS (www.eauction.gr) see and not the environment that Notaries (Auction Officers) see and use. Notaries (Auction Officials) will continue to see all the information, just as it is today, since the beginning of the operation of www.eauction.gr.

The withholding of these data does not affect the EL.SY.PLEIS database, in which all data will continue to be maintained.

The application of the rules on the concealment or non-disclosure of such information will apply, as appropriate, to the following stages at which an auction may be in progress:

Fields to hide

The fields, which contain personal data are the following:

 

Auction details page

  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Taxpayer's VAT number
  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Name of the auctioneer or name of the person responsible for the auction
  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>VAT number of the person responsible for the auction
  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Related Documents (all attached documents)
  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Photos of the property
  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Comments

Online Auction Search results page

On this page and for each auction, which will fall under the category of data concealment, no data will be displayed for:

  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Debtor
  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Photo of the property

 

Notes: When hiding the data on the above pages, each field will be left blank or characters will be displayed to anonymize the data (e.g. ********)

Application of concealment by auction stage 

Auction stage without withholding personal data

Data masking will not apply to auctions that are in the following stage:

  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Ready to run
  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Finalised list of participants

Auction stage with concealment of personal data

Data masking will apply to auctions which are in the following stage:

  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Completed - Awarded
  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Completed - Cancellation in the absence of bidders
  • <!–[if !supportLists]–><!–[endif]–>Suspended

 

Time limit for the application of concealment

As soon as the Notary (Auction Clerk) or the EL.SY.PLEIS system places an auction in one of the stages of the above section "Auction stages with withholding of personal data", then the withholding of the data will be applied after twenty (20) days.

 

Auction search results

Please note that, when searching for auctions and if they have been subject to data masking, as described above, the application of the search criteria will only display in the search results those auctions for which data masking is not applicable.

E.g. in the case of a search using the criterion "Debtor's details", then, if the debtor in question refers to eight auctions, of which only three are at the time of the search in one of the stages of the section "Auction stages without withholding personal data", then only these three auctions will appear in the search results and not all eight, because five of them have been subject to data suppression as described above.
